Morning everyone,

It is with great pride that AGM Group celebrates its 15th anniversary today.  I believe it is important to mark such occasions, as when we all start our respective journeys, we cannot be sure where they will take us.

Since 2004, I have been fortunate to build up a new start enterprise that has led me to meet many different people and to experience a business life, thus far, that has been dynamic, challenging, frustrating and exciting (often in the same day …).  It began when I moved back to Scotland from Birmingham and set up a computer in my parent’s spare bedroom, working a twilight ‘box packing’ shift in Greenock and using the money to buy stationary and stamps to send out letters to potential clients.  I managed to get meetings with various influencers by sticking to my 20 successful calls per day routine and PSYBT helped me with a £5000 start up loan.  However, it didn’t stop me from buying a second hand Citreon van for £1600 that broke down a mile from the sellers’ house!

Along the way we went from small local jobs to working with leading architects, building surveyors, project managers and national retailers.  How did this happen?  It was just down to professionalism, diligence and good old-fashioned hard work.

Our team have played a huge part in our success and several have achieved, or are approaching, a decade of service.  They have been on the front line making sure that our level of service has been exemplary and maintaining our high standards.  As we always say: “Make your client look like a Rockstar”.

When we celebrated our 10-year anniversary we had a big bash at a local bar and invited lots of guests to enjoy this occasion with us.  The night was a great success and we really enjoyed it, but this time we have decided to donate the money to a charity of your choice.  We would therefore like people to get in touch by either emailing, messaging or commenting on this post with their charity choice and we will select one at random.

I wish everyone the very best of luck in the future and thank every one of our clients, staff, consultants and suppliers for their contribution in allowing us to achieve 15 years of success.

We would also like clients, old and new, to get in touch if we can assist with any property project, office fit-out, shop-fit, refurb, M&E or maintenance works that you have as we look to grow our business in the coming years.

Yours sincerely,

Andrew Meek

Managing Director

PS:  If you are finding things difficult at the moment, please remember that we have all been there.  It will pass and you will grow stronger for it.  Happy to chat things through if I can be of help.
