Project Overview
At AGM Group, we’ve proudly partnered with Superdrug for over 15 years, delivering shopfitting projects from the heart of London to the Shetland Islands. Our collaboration with one of the UK’s most recognised health and beauty retailers is built on a shared commitment to customer experience, brand integrity, and precision delivery.
Superdrug’s new store in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen—one of Europe’s largest suburbs—is a major milestone. As the area continues to grow, so does its demand for high-quality retail. Working closely with both Superdrug and the landlord, we helped transform this space into a flagship retail park destination, designed to showcase global brands in a modern, functional, and engaging environment.
AGM Group provided full Mechanical & Electrical Design and served as Principal Contractor, managing every aspect from design and statutory permissions to final fit-out. We ensured compliance with Scottish building regulations for non-domestic properties, tailoring our systems to support the volume and occupancy needs of the store.
Challenges
Retail projects demand speed without sacrificing quality. Our team’s critical path analysis—starting from site acquisition to handover—ensures timelines are met and expectations exceeded. For this project, we also collaborated with Savills to meet complex legal and dilapidation requirements, building strong, future-facing relationships.
Our Approach
The 720m² unit underwent a complete strip-out and refit to become a Superdrug-branded showcase. Featuring a diverse range of beauty, skincare, and wellness brands—including Armani, YSL, L’Oréal, Urban Decay, NYX, CeraVe, Dove, Pampers, and many more—the store was designed to meet high consumer and brand partner expectations.
Scope of Work Included:
- New fire alarm & air handling systems
- Air conditioning & ventilation
- Lighting, small power, and data networks
- Intruder alarms, CCTV & audio systems
- Acoustic & fire-rated partitioning
- Suspended ceilings and signage-ready bulkheads
- Security shutters, fire doors, flooring & luxury finishes
- ePOS systems, tagging, and bespoke service columns
