Project Description

Project Overview

AGM Group was appointed as both principal contractor and mechanical & electrical (M&E) contractor for the full refurbishment of The Perfume Shop’s Perth store. This project formed part of the brand’s wider investment strategy to revitalise its retail estate and elevate the customer experience across its portfolio.

The transformation included the installation of new display counters and shelving, upgraded ceilings and lighting, modernised building services, and refreshed external signage. Key feature elements comprised a new DV window unit, a high-visibility media display, a signature floral design wall at the entrance, halo-illuminated signage, and various general maintenance enhancements.

Challenges

Operating within a live shopping centre environment required careful planning and coordination. AGM Group worked closely with centre management to ensure that all life safety system modifications were fully compliant with operational requirements.

To avoid disrupting daytime trading, works were scheduled overnight, allowing the refurbishment to progress efficiently while maintaining the shopping centre’s normal operations.

Collaborative Solutions

The project required seamless coordination between multiple specialist consultants appointed by the client, including providers of security tagging systems, point-of-sale tills, fire alarms, and intruder alarms. AGM Group’s established relationships with these partners enabled a smooth, efficient workflow and reduced potential delays.
